Koi Tranquility by Sweetlittlejenny Koi Tranquility by Sweetlittlejenny
Hair comb made out of Apoxie and pins, sealed with gloss to give the look of lacquer. Hair sticks made from fruit skewers painted and also sealed with gloss for the lacquered look. Hair is partially put up into a bun and sewn in place with clear filament. Base of tail is wrapped in black cord. Her symbol is a koi and gingko leaves. Her hoof symbol is the character for tranquility and her NDS symbol are the characters for peace. Her fan is a novelty drink fan bought at the craft store. The design came on the fan but I repainted in colors to match my theme. This was also my first attempt at rooted bangs on a pony.

Ha! I was going to mail her today and then hubby reminded me its Presidents day so the PO is closed. Hopefully I can get her out tomorrow.

So instead of going to the PO I went to an outdoor event with my husband for 3 hours and got a sunburn. Woo hoo.

^^; I will. I just keep losing interest. My one pony is going to have "hair" made from Model Magic. It takes forever.

I'm not so great at sculpting hair so more power to ya. Sometimes I just get in a rut and don't feel very creative so I know what you mean.

Sometimes I use craft fur for the hair. I have a pony I'm planning for my sis and will try to find some fur for it. What;s the best way you've found to remove the hair from the ponies?

Cut the mane as short as possible. Remove the head and use needle nose pliers or hemostats to pull the hair out from the inside of the head. G3s are known to have alot of glue holding the hair in so its hard to remove sometimes. If there is alot of glue you can scrape it to loosen it with a screwdriver or some people put the head in hot/boling water to loosen the glue. Just pull the tail out from the inside as well.

Depending on what you're doing with the fur the craft stores here usually have small pieces of different color/types of fur. Like 12x12 or something like that.

Have fun!

Thanks for the tips. ^_^ I never really thought try hemostats (those are what the doctors use?) to pull the hair out but it worked.

I didn't find any good craft fur at my craft store, but that's ok.
